Salmonella on Produce

How many times have you placed frozen chicken in the fridge to thaw? Did you know that you could be poisoning your produce? While your chicken is defrosting in the fridge, salmonella could be getting on your food. Does not sound healthy does it? So the next time you stick that chicken in the fridge wrap it in plastic wrap and then place it on a plate so that you are keeping your family safe.

With Thanksgiving coming up will the MiniMate help with keeping the turkey fresh ? I know you talk about chicken and Salmonella but cant turkey also produce this type of bacteria ? I was worried with mixing all the other cooked food with the turkey this year and the RECALLS

The MiniMate will kill bacteria including Salmonella on meat or produce as long as air can get to it. You need to make sure the skin on the Turkey is open so air can get down into the stuffing cavity. All the food should be rotated so air can get to all the sides of it.

Yes, if there is Salmonella on the turkey or on the stuffing and the interior temperature has not reached at least 165 degrees so that it kills the bacteria it can be a risk.

Cross contimination is a concern and MiniMate certainly helps alot with this issue.
