Why does canned corn last longer?

Have you ever noticed that the can of corn in your pantry lasts longer than an ear of corn in your refrigerator? The reason is before the can corn is canned it is cooked and while it is still hot it is canned. The ear of corn is not cooked so therefore germs remain on it even in the cool environment of your refrigerator. This is why you need a Mini-Mate because the Activated Oxygen will make the ear of corn last longer.

Recalled Meat

When meat is recalled it is taken right off the shelf right? That is what you would think, however, in New Jersey this Thursday one store proved that to be wrong. State Inspectors were able to purchase meat from that store that had been recalled weeks earlier. So why was the meat still on the floor? This is a question many people would like an answer to.

Raw Vegetables Better For You

Does cooking vegetables destroy some of the vitamins and minerals. When asked this question in First Magazine, four pro chefs stated that up to 62 percent of the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in vegetables are cooked out while cooking. So this means that it is possible that raw vegetables are better for you than cooked ones. If you have to have those vegetables cooked try cutting them in big chunks, don't thaw frozen ones, and peel the vegetables after they cook.

Welcome to HealthQuest's newest product MiniMate!

HealthQuest Technologies was founded at the turn of the new century with a vision to search for innovative new ideas for you to enjoy and improve you and your family's health. Our first product was the Pionair Air Treatment System. It was then and still is one of the most effective devices for improving the quality of your indoor air and thus your health.

We perceive our quest for innovative ideas and products as a journey and not a destination. This journey has led us to the MiniMate Refrigerator Sanitizer and Deodorizer. This little device is placed on an upper shelf and is just a little larger than the box of baking soda you probably already have in your fridge.

But, oh does it do so much more than just absorb odors! The activated oxygen technology employed in the MiniMate has been approved by the FDA for use on and around food and food prep areas. Why? Because this technology has been shown to kill germs and eliminate odors without leaving ANY residue other than oxygen (O2).

With all the food recalls and food safety issues, we think you may want to know what you can do to be proactive in reducing you and your family's exposure to these potentially deadly germs.

We also think you might want to know about saving money. How, you might ask? Well what causes your food to spoil is these germs and molds growing on them. They cause your food especially fruits and fresh produce to rot and spoil; and this is even more true with your organics. Because the MiniMate kills many of these microbials your food lasts longer. That means you save money by not having to throw away so much spoiled food.

And for you cooks--soon to be chefs--your food tastes better too. Why? For one thing you eliminate most cross contamination.

This space is intended to help us begin a dialog with you about food safety and health. We welcome your questions about food poisoning or how our product works. Why we will even offers some healthy recipes and tell you what the experts says about this product and technology.

We trust that a product like the MiniMate that lets you feel safer about what you eat and saves you money will elicit many questions and comments. We welcome them all.

Sincerely,

Chris Chase
